I remember telling you about this a while back. Anyways, to clear up some of the preliminary questions you've got...
1) No, retrying was not successful.
2) .jpg was what I was uploading
3) Windows Vista Home Premium
4) Just pictures of random stuff. Fan art, w/e.
5) The internet? I dunno, it was random fan art mostly, some camera shots, but still all the same format .jpg.

I first thought it was a naming issue because I was uploading with names that could be duplicates on the server, so I reverted to random numbers. I don't know if that's an issue, but I chose to avoid it entirely.

What I then realized when uploading was that there is an issue with size. Not that an image is too large, but rather too small. If any image I attempted to post was Under 800x600, I would get the error. So by enlarging the picture or adding a blank border to increase the size to 800x600 pixels, the issue was fixed. Maybe there is a restriction put in place here, or just tell everyone to increase the size of their images.

      Actually funny you should mention that one. It was a bit more wide than tall picture. Wide screen I guess, so I cropped the middle portion instead of adding a border because I was getting lazy. When posting, you're forced to crop at certain dimensions, not any height/width you choose. So maybe it depends on the original picture size? Because this one had more to it before being cropped.

        Well no, cropping is ONLY for the thumbnail, it does not impact the original piece.

          Huh... that's good to know thanks :D Maybe it was a step under at 600x400, I'd been playing with it in the basic Windows Office Picture Manager. There's a few options for auto adjusting to certain heights/etc while minimizing the effect on quality.

          I dunno, I'm not a pro at computer stuff. Good luck figuring this out though v_v.

            Ok yeah it is throwing up on smaller images, very strange.

            So you have never had this issue on any larger images?

              From the load of images I put up on... the 20th? Whenever you said you needed them, is the only time I've uploaded. But yes, it was only on smaller images, never on the larger ones.
