Knowing its on Earth. There would probly be more UNSC troops after the URF. So it should be like this:

After crash landing on the winter ground, Roberts escapes with one minor burn to the face. He walks slowly to the front of the Dropship, only to jab through the blood stained glass with a Titanium A Fragment to activate a beacon for the dropship. He can see the pilots... There down. After pressing the button, he hears some radio chatter:

-"Bravo two is down. URF Units heading North- Northwest Bearing 355. Hotel Six, head down to pick up survivors"
-"This is Six, Roger that. Picking up survivors in five." Said a female voice

After waiting five minutes, Roberts launched a bright blue flare to mark his position.

-"Roger, Bravo two in site." Said the female voice again

--------Something like that and then--------

Hotel six kicks up the snow and lands parallel with the downed dropship. A Medic comes out with a EMS-MK (Emergency Medical Situation- Mobile Kit)

-"You alright?--Roberts?" Said the Medic with a brief pause to see his ID
-"Yeah, I can still fight. Get me to the objective with the others"
-"You sure soldier?" Said the medic?
-"...Confident" Said Roberts

---And thats all I can sum up without ruining the first part of the story for you.

Take the segment I wrote if you want.. its all good. Or make something similar

I like what you wrote, however I'll keep my own words. But the suggestions are good, I'll probably revise a bit and use some of your ideas.

In terms of the number of UNSC personnel after the URF, I used the all knowing wikipedia to determine a squad is composed of 2 fireteams of 4-5 men, for my own sake I picked 4, so there's 8 men per squad. Therefore when Roberts looks out the back of the Pelican and sees the 11 other pelicans, one can assume there's 88 UNSC marines on this mission. 102 if you count pilots (two per pelican).

I would think 88 is a formidable force, however if it's not convincing it could easily double it and make this the first strike team.
