Never Played Half-Life

Game play/controls. What's the point in playing a game if you don't enjoy what's going on? What's the point in playing a game if the controls are so terrible you can't pay attention to the rest of the game? Eye candy only goes so far.

      I definitely like eye candy, but it's totally not necessary.

      S'how I like my window managers, too. Everything simple, clean and not flashy.

        My windows are usually simple...but I admit right now everything is red and has flames that glow when you scroll over them. It's a Zippo lighters theme. :>

          When I use Linux, I use fluxbox as my window manager. It's hawt. It doesn't even have desktop icons. :D

            When I get my newer laptop, I was debating wiping XP off the old one and using Linux.

            I just have to figure out what of the bazillion things around I want to use. :>

              My laptop that had Linux on it bit the dust. :( The hard drive is probably okay, but the CPU or mobo is dead. :(((

                  I've been looking at replacing it with the same make/model (IBM ThinkPad T22). I've found some reasonably priced ones on Ebay. :B
